When the world is pervaded entirely by problems and dangers, due to uncontrolled minds and inappropriate actions, one of the most important practices is that of Medicine Buddha. By relying upon Medicine Buddha sincerely, living beings in these impure times can be cured of heavy physical and mental disease and find release from the internal pain of the three poisons: attachment, anger and ignorance.
Since beginningless time, we have experienced the pain of the three poisons and all the sufferings to which they give rise. Now, by relying upon this Buddha Doctor, we can be released from this pain forever.
The Asian Dharma Celebration is a wonderful opportunity for students of Kadampa Centers from across Asia, their family, friends and new students to receive the Empowerment of Medicine Buddha and teachings on the book, Eight Steps to Happiness, which is soon to be released in Chinese. Please join us this year for a meaningful spiritual holiday in Taipei. Everyone is very welcome.
Gen Kelsang Tonglam is the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director for Asia and
the Resident Teacher of KMC Hong Kong. He has been studying and practicing meditation and Buddhism for many years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. He has worked tirelessly to spread Kadam Dharma in Asia. Gen Tonglam will grant the Empowerment of Medicine Buddha followed by commentary on the practice and teachings on developing love from Eight Steps to Happiness.
Gen Kelsang Gyalten is the Resident Teacher of Manjughosha Buddhist Centre in Taipei. She is known for her ability to present the meaning of the teachings with warmth and humour. Gen Gyalten will teach the Introduction to the Celebration on Friday evening and lead the meditations throughout the Celebration.

The Celebration will be held at the Kadampa Corporation Taiwan, in the Tamsui District north of Taipei. The Center has been recently renovated and the Celebration will be the official Opening of the Center.

Empowerment, introduction, teachings and meditations will be in Mandarin. We will provide simultaneous translation into Cantonese, Japanese and English. Please indicate your preference on the registration form.
The International Temples Project:
All profits from this event will be donated to the International Temples Project (ITP). The International Temples Project was founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso with the vision to create Kadampa Buddhist Temples in every major city and to spread pure Kadam Dharma throughout the world.
